It makes sense why you might want to bring CBD with you when you travel throughout this holiday season. It is something you can share with friends and family, or it is something that could help ease any anxiety you might experience. If you do plan on flying, follow these three tips below to lower the chances of your CBD products being taken away.
1. Make sure that the THC content is below 0.3% - This is the most important factor when traveling across state lines, even if you are traveling to and from a state where cannabis is legal.
2. Leave the “weedy” looking products at home - Many people, TSA agents especially, are not aware of the differences between CBD and THC. So it might be best to travel with products that are more conservative looking, such as ones that do not show a marijuana leaf on the package.
3. Consider bringing the Certificate of Analysis (COA) - Printing out a copy of the COA, or having a digital copy on your cell phone, can be very helpful as it can prove the product’s validity as well as prove the level of THC within the product.
Don’t forget that liquids must be 3.4 fluid ounces or less if they are remaining in your carry-on bag. If you are traveling out of the country, you should take extra precaution and research the country’s CBD drug regulations and restrictions. In this situation, however, it might be best to leave you CBD products at home.
