An Overview of CBD E-Liquid

CBD vape oil is any vape juice that contains CBD instead of nicotine. It isn’t technically a true oil, as it is derived from hemp oil. A more accurate name would be CBD vape juice or CBD e-liquid, as “CBD oil” better describes the tinctures made for sublingual use and not typically suitable for vaping. CBD oil is also typically infused with coconut oil. If you are wanting to use CBD for pain relief, vaping is a more effective method as compared to edibles or topicals because you absorb more of the CBD. While more research is still needed about the long-term effects of vaping CBD, it is also considered to be much safer smoking CBD while still being effective.

Determining Your Dosage

Different factors go into proper dosing, which include body weight, body chemistry, whatever condition you’re trying to alleviate. It is highly recommended to start with the lowest dose and gradually increase thereafter. See the chart below from Vaping360 as to their recommended doses based on weight. Unlike regular e-liquid, the concentration of CBD is determined by the bottle and not the mL.

Choosing Your Vape Device

Disposable CBD vape pens are the easiest and most inexpensive device, so they would work well for those who have never vaped before. They are pre-filled lightweight cigarette styles pens and can last for a few hundred puffs before being thrown out.

CBD oil cartridges would be the next easiest method. They are slim cylindrical tanks that come pre-filled with CBD e-liquid or distillate. They require a slim e-cigarette battery or device compatible with standard cartridges. They typically hold around 0.5ML to 1mL of CBD e-liquid.

Refillable CBD vape pens would be the most advanced form of vaping CBD. They are rechargeable and refillable with your own CBD e-liquid. They generally produce more vapor and flavor than disposables, and are most cost effective in the long run. They require basic maintenance, like cleaning and replacing the coil.

There are also refillable pod vapes, but they must be able to handle thicker viscosity e-liquid. Most CBD e-liquid contains 70% VG or more.

Vaping CBD oil is essentially the same as vaping non-CBD e-liquid. You must ensure you are using CBD vape juice that is meant to be vaped. Our inventory of CBD e-liquid is completely separate from CBD oil. Some minor side effects of vaping CBD include dizziness, dry mouth, and slight drowsiness, however you would need to vape a lot of CBD before experiencing these effects. If you do feel them, you should either vape less frequently or lower your dosage.
